Identity Theft Title Sequence
The purpose of this project was to create an opening title sequence for a fictional movie in the style of Saul Bass. This film is a noir mystery set in a dystopian world where everyone is the exact same person. The story follows a detective investigating a murder where the victim is not a duplicate of everyone else.

Saul Bass's Rosemary's Baby
The first steps I took were to research Saul Bass’ work and old black and white detective movies to get an understanding of the visual style. Something I noticed is that Saul Bass, and other works like his, make a point to use simple graphics in complex ways. I attempt to do this via transitions between shots.
Identity Theft Story Boards
After getting a visual understanding, I moved on to story boarding. During this phase, I focused on layout, keeping in mind how each scene would move to the next. After the story boards were finished, I moved onto creating the assets. Using the story boards, I developed several assets for each scene. The focus here was to keep the shapes simple and easy to read.

Once the assets were finished, I took them into After Effects and began animating. Here I focused on timing the elements and transitions to the music while giving the viewer enough time to read the names.
